However, Billy Markus and Palmer made the decision to leave Dogecoin the same year it was founded, claiming that the cryptocurrency community was no longer open to their unconventional success.


The best news, though, is that Billy Markus has returned. After being separated from the source of his inspiration for seven years, He has returned to Dogecoin to pursue his passion once more.


Seven years after leaving the same Foundation, Markus had recently re-joined on August 18th, 2021.


Billy Markus currently sits on the board of The Dogecoin Foundation and manages his Twitter account, which by early to mid-2021 had amassed over 500k followers.
